Management Services

1. Golf Operations

This is the heart of the club. It is managed by the Head Golf Professional (or Director of Golf).

  • Pro Shop: Handles retail, equipment sales, and check-ins.

  • Outside Services: Staff who manage golf carts, clean clubs, and run the bag drop.

  • Instruction: Professional coaches who provide private lessons and clinics.

  • Tournament Management: Coordinating club championships and member-guest events.

3. Food & Beverage (F&B)

This department generates a large portion of the club's revenue and social atmosphere.

  • Dining Rooms & Bar: Casual and formal dining areas.

  • Kitchen (Back of House): Led by the Executive Chef; handles all food preparation.

  • Banquets & Events: Managing weddings, corporate parties, and internal social galas.

  • Halfway House: The small snack bar located between the 9th and 10th holes.

5. Athletics & Recreation (Beyond Golf)

In a true Country Club, there are often sports other than golf.

  • Tennis/Pickleball: Managed by a Tennis Pro; includes court maintenance and pro shop.

  • Aquatics: Managing the swimming pool, lifeguards, and swim teams.

  • Fitness Center: Personal trainers and gym maintenance.

7. Building Maintenance & Housekeeping

2. Golf Course Maintenance (Green-keeping)

Led by the Golf Course Superintendent, this department is often the largest in terms of physical labor and budget.

  • Turf Management: Mowing, fertilizing, and maintaining greens, fairways, and roughs.

  • Landscaping: Maintaining the flowers, trees, and ornamental areas around the clubhouse.

  • Irrigation & Equipment: Mechanics who fix the mowers and technicians who manage water systems.

4. Membership & Marketing

This department is the "sales" arm of the club, focused on recruiting and retaining members.

  • Membership Sales: Giving tours to prospective members and handling applications.

  • Communications: Sending out newsletters, managing the club’s website, and social media.

  • Member Relations: Acting as a concierge to handle member feedback and special requests.

6. Administration & Finance

This is the "brain" of the operation, usually reporting directly to the General Manager.
