Hotel Training & Development

18. Back-to-Basics
Nearly all hotel companies have similar training programs in place, all aimed and geared towards improving service levels throughout their organization.
The Back-to-Basics programs in this section will help you on your way to start with training sessions for your team, just don't forget that once employees have been trained, you need to follow up to ensure they implement their newfound knowledge.

20. Training Aids
Training can be hard, especially if you are not a naturally gifted speaker.
Standing in front of a classroom with all eyes on you requires a bit of a 'devil-may-care' attitude. It is harder when the group is new and the group members don't really know one another. With some of the material in this section you'll be able to overcome these obstacles and delve right in.

21. INDUCTION PROGRAMS
So you've recruited a new colleague and now comes the hard part; getting him/her to learn the ropes!
No matter how highly skilled and knowledgeable your new colleague is, they don't know you or your organization yet. Take the first few days and weeks to help them become familiar with all that you do and stand for, show them what's what and what's where.
